The Trylle Series is about trolls.  Not the ugly awful ones you see in movies.  A lot of the characters in this series are extremely beautiful, and Wendy is a fighter.  Check out the book trailer.

The release of this book is only days away, and I’m so excited. I love her Mortal Instruments series, and loved the first book in the prequel.  So, for those of you that are impatiently awaiting December 6th, here are the book trailers for Clockwork Prince.  I’ll also include the book trailer for the book before this Clockwork Angel at the end. :) Happy reading.

Clockwork Angel

It’s all coming to an end  I don’t know what I’m going to do without anymore Harry Potter.

Here they are throught the years.

Sorcerer’s Stone

Chamber of Secrets

Prisoner of Azkaban

Goblet of Fire

Order of the Phoenix

Half Blood Prince

Deathly Hallows Pt. 1

Deathly Hallows Pt. 2

We’ve watched these actors grow up on the big screen.  They’ve brought the characters we know and love to fruition.  I’m sad to see this series at an end, but I’m happy for all the years of entertainment it’s brought us.

Now to head to the midnight showing for Deathly Hallows Pt. 2!

After discovering that vampires populate her town, college student Claire Danvers knows that the undead just want to live their lives. But someone else wants them to get ready to rumble.

There’s a new extreme sport getting picked up on the Internet: bare- knuckle fights pitting captured vampires against each other-or humans. Tracking the remote signal leads Claire- accompanied by her friends and frenemies-to discover that what started as an online brawl will soon threaten everyone in Morganville…

I loved this book!  Claire is growing up, and handling situations as well as she can.  We also get a lot of insight into Shane.  We learn his desires, his fears and insecurities.  It really helped me get a grasp on where Shane stands, and what he had to endure.  It’s even better that we were told in his thoughts.  There is a lot of deception in this book.  We also meet up with someone we were hoping to be gone. ;)

In TURNED (Book #1 of the Vampire Journals series), eighteen year old Caitlin Paine finds herself uprooted from her nice suburb and forced to attend a dangerous New York City high school when her Mom moves again. The one ray of light in her new surroundings is Jonah, a new classmate who takes an instant liking to her. But before their romance can blossom, Caitlin suddenly finds herself changing. She is overcome by a superhuman strength, a sensitivity to light, a desire to feed–by feelings she does not understand. She seeks answers to what’s happening to her, and her cravings lead her to the wrong place at the wrong time. Her eyes are opened to a hidden world, right beneath her feet, thriving underground in New York City. She finds herself caught between two dangerous covens, right in the middle of a vampire war. It is at this moment that Caitlin meets Caleb, a mysterious and powerful vampire who rescues her from the dark forces. He needs her to help lead him to the legendary lost artifact. And she needs him for answers, and for protection. Together, they will need to answer one crucial question: who was her real father? But Caitlin finds herself caught between two men as something else arises between them: a forbidden love. A love between the races that will risk both of their lives, and will force them to decide whether to risk it all for each other…

In LOVED (Book #2 in the Vampire Journals), Caitlin and Caleb embark together on their quest to find the one object that can stop the imminent vampire and human war: the lost sword. An object of vampire lore, there is grave doubt over whether it even exists. If there is any hope of finding it, they must first trace Caitlin’s ancestry. Is she really the One? Their search begins with finding Caitlin’s father. Who was he? Why did he abandon her? As the search broadens, they are shocked by what they discover about who she really is. But they are not the only ones searching for the legendary sword. The Blacktide Coven wants it, too, and they are close on Caitlin and Caleb’s trail. Worse, Caitlin’s little brother, Sam, remains obsessed with finding his Dad. But Sam soon finds himself in way over his head, smack in the middle of a vampire war. Will he jeopardize their search? Caitlin and Caleb’s journey takes them on a whirlwind of historic locations-from the Hudson Valley, to Salem, to the heart of historic Boston-the very spot where witches were once hung on the hill of Boston Common. Why are these locations so important to the vampire race? And what do they have to do with Caitlin’s ancestry, and with who she’s becoming? But they may not even make it. Caitlin and Caleb’s love for each other is blossoming. And their forbidden romance may just destroy everything they’ve set out to achieve….

In BETRAYED (Book #3 in the Vampire Journals), Caitlin Paine awakes from a deep coma to discover she has been turned. Now a true, full-bred vampire, she marvels at her new powers, including her ability to fly, and her superhuman strength. She finds that her true love, Caleb, is still by her side, waiting patiently for her to recover. She has everything she could dream of.

Until it all, suddenly, goes terribly wrong.

Caitlin is horrified to discover Caleb with his ex-wife, Sera, and before Caleb has a chance to explain, Caitlin tells him to leave. Heartbroken, confused, Caitlin wants to curl up and die, her only consolation being in her wolf-pup Rose.

Caitlin also finds consolation in her new surroundings. She finds she has been placed on a hidden island in the Hudson River—Pollepel—amidst an elite coven of teenage vampires, boys and girls alike, 24 in all, including her. She learns that this is a place for outcasts, just like her, and as she meets her new best friend, Polly, and begins her training in elite vampire combat, she realizes that she might finally have a place to call home.

But a major vampire war is looming, and her brother Sam is still out there, kidnapped by Samantha. The evil Kyle, too, now wielding the mythical Sword, is still on the warpath, and he will stop at nothing to wipe out New York. Caitlin, despite her new home, and despite her finding a new love interest in the elusive vampire Blake, knows that she can only stay on this island for so long before her destiny calls. After all, she is still the One, and all eyes still look to her to find her father and the other weapon that might save them all.

Torn between her new friends and her lingering feelings for Caleb, she must come to decide where her true loyalties lie, and whether she is willing to risk it all to try to find Caleb and have him in her life once again….

This series has a lot of promise.  There are many grammatical errors, but they are fairly easy to distinguish.  Caitlin is whiney at times, but she’s determined.  She doesn’t like to give up.  I find the concept of halfbreeds between the vampires and humans a good twist to the story. I also like the forbidden love aspect.  But I mean what people don’t like that.  Sera is a vicious woman, but can respected at the end of Betrayed.  I’m looking forward to what Book 4 might bring of the vampire war.

With her knack for being in trouble’s way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte’s, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover Eric Northman and his “child” Pam are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot-which is much more complicated than she knows…

I’m conflicted about this installment in the series.  I feel as if there was major build up, but nothing really happened.  Sookie is just as confused as before, and can’t decide who she should trust.  She makes rash decisions and doesn’t think about the consequences.  This book left me feeling without.  I do still love Eric though.  I’m glad Bill is in this one more also.  I do however think Sookie needs to think through everything that has happened and make some decisions.

Her young man stepped out of nowhere onto a mountaintop…

Her high school counselor came from Hell. Literally…

Haley learns she has a unique gift. She normally lives her life escaping notice, but now two gorgeous strangers are interested in her. Very interested. Seth is the best-looking young man she (or anyone else) has ever met. Every girl in school is after him and the competition turns strangely vicious. She soon realizes that he is not fully bound to this world. Although they both feel the mutual attraction, there’s something holding him back… The second stranger is equally attractive, but more frightening. When she is with him, she somehow loses her self-control. To say more would give away too much, but Las Vegas will never be the same…

Book #2 of the Seeker Series starts a year after the first story ended. Haley and Seth are still together, but his visits have grown infrequent. Can she keep the relationship alive?

Haley’s story takes on new turns in the second novel of paranormal romance and suspense. Two new strangers enter her life from unexpected directions. Ariene seeks to teach her new magic. Andre, handsome and rich, seeks to capture her heart. He is there when she needs help, while Seth is out on a distant, unknowable mission. Is it wrong for her to go out with him? Can’t they just be friends? What will happen when Seth comes back into her life, as she knows he will?

This series so far has been a light read.  Some of the typographical errors were annoying, but it didn’t take away from the story.  Haley is a character that I don’t really care for.  She is very needy, and has to have Seth’s attention.  She does what she can to see him.  The one thing I can say is that she tries to be strong when faced with danger.  The first book introduces you to fallen angels, but not in the way most novels show them to you.  There is a lot of magic in both books.  In book two we meet an entirely new creature.

As to blood –
ah, blood, the whole subject fascinates me. I do like that as well, warm and dripping, when I am thirsty. And I am often thirsty….

Alisa has been in control of her urges for the five thousand years she has been a vampire. She feeds but does not kill, and she lives her life on the fringe to maintain her secret. But when her creator returns to hunt her, she must break her own rules in order to survive.

Her quest leads her to Ray. He is the only person who can help her; he also has every reason to fear her. Alisa must get closer to him to ensure her immortality. But as she begins to fall in love with Ray, suddenly there is more at stake than her own life….

Tears roll over my face. I touch them with my quivering tongue. They are clear and salty, not dark and bloody. Another sign that I am human.

What Alisa has desired for five thousand years has finally come true: She is once again human. But now she is defenseless, vulnerable, and, for the first time in centuries, emotional. As she attempts to reconcile her actions as a vampire with her new connection to humanity, she begins to understand the weight of lifeand-death decisions. Can Alisa resolve her past and build a new identity, or is she doomed to repeat her fatal mistakes?

Alisa has spent the past five thousand years as a vampire, living alone and fighting for survival. In her loneliness, Alisa cannot resist bringing Teri—a descendant of her human family—into her life. But Alisa is surrounded by death and destruction, and just by knowing Alisa, Teri’s life is at risk.

Alisa’s guilt grows when she becomes involved in a dangerous conspiracy. A top-secret group knows Alisa’s secret and will stop at nothing to use her powers for their cause. As Alisa desperately tries to protect herself and Teri from the unknown enemy, she discovers a force more powerful and more lethal than anything she has ever seen. Alisa doesn’t know who to trust, who to challenge, or who she will become….

I really enjoyed this series.  I loved how it integrated Hindu beliefs into the vampire realm  Alisa is a very strong female character.  The only thing she questions is Krishna offering her protection.  As much as she tries to keep those she cares about safe, she always ends up  putting them in danger.  This series has all the greatness of vampires along with the religious twist.  I’m wondering what Thirst No. 4 will reveal for us.

I had put off reading this book for a while.  It came highly recommended to me, but I had other books to read.  With the movie coming out this week I decided I needed to buckle down and read it.  I have no idea why I put this off for so long.  I absolutely loved this book.  I don’t want to get to far into it because I’ll give it all away.  It’s jsut not very wise to fall in love with the wife of a circus ringmaster.  I’m excited to see the movie and hope it does the book justice.  For those of you who havent’ seen the previews for it. Here you go!
